Inspiring youth......

  to rise above challenges,

stand up for what they believe,

           and advocate for others!

Neil has just completed a walk across Michigan on stilts to raise money for United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan's Assistive Technology Loan Center!

With the help of a 3:1 matching grant from the U.S. Dept. of Education the walk generated over $62,000 dollars for UCP!

Walk across Michigan

On October, 28th, 2007, Neil completed the Grand Rapids marathon on stilts in record time; helping to raise $2400 for United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan.

On May 5th, 2008, at New Bedford Academy in Lambertville, MI, Neil continued his fundraising campaign by beginning a two month, 830 mile walk across Michigan.  Eight weeks later on June 28th, Neil crossed the state line in Ironwood with family, friends, and UCP there to celebrate!

Along the way he visited schools, organizations, churches, camps, etc., using interactive story telling to advoacte for people with disabilities and encourage children to become active leaders in their communities.

Now that Neil has completed his trip he would love to describe his experience.

Upcoming plans...

Saturday, July 5th - Stilt walking on the CBS Early Show!

Sunday, July 6 - Homecoming walk from Onsted to Blissfield

Closing on a house with my fiancee Kelly, finding a job, getting married and starting grad school in the fall

October 19 - walking in the Grand Rapids Marathon on stilts!

Writing a book about my trek across MI

I want to thank....

All those who helped, honked, waved, and donated along the way.

I couldn't have done the trip without you!

Neil's Stories

Neil uses interactive story telling to inspire children to rise above challenges, stand up for what they believe, and advocate for others.  Fun and educational, Neil's unique stories captivate children through...

  • Balloon Animals
  • Juggling
  • Magic Tricks

Most importantly they contain clear moral messages that will make a lasting impression on children!

He also describes the experiences of his journey across Michigan in order to encourage youth to live out their dreams.
